Regardless of the product you require, you can count on more than 20 years of experience within the softwood timber industry. Each and every order taken is chased and monitored to help ensure deadlines are adhered to. We go that extra mile and encourage our suppliers to photograph and double check each order prior to being dispatched.
In addition to this, we are proud to state that during the extreme shortages of timber in 2021, whilst many were profiteering, Imco Timber remained loyal to our clients and helped clients to the best of our abilities. During 2021 we supplied up to 15,000m3 per month. This allowed valued clients of us to maintain healthy stocks when other companies were struggling.
About Us
Imco Timber was originally known as Affordable Timber.
The company originally traded just in the UK and Ireland, supplying mostly wholesalers and importers since 2008. In 2019 we were merged with the larger company, Imco International Ltd, and today Imco Timber exists as a trading name for Imco International which is registered in Bulgaria. (Imco International, originally registered in Switzerland with a 50+ year history, is a well known supplier to the water sector. They supply pipelines to major projects, mostly across Africa and Europe. Many World Bank and African Development bank projects have been supplied by Imco).
All timber supplied by Imco Timber is sourced responsibly and fully EUTR or UKTR compliant. Mostly with FSC or PEFC (mixed credit) certification with full chain of custody.
Typical clients of Imco Timber are importers and manufacturers whom are able to buy at least full articulated truck loads of one products. Our main clients buy full or part ship loads. We are not able to offer smaller quantities than one truck (40m3) of one single product type.
Imco Timber's strategy is to focus and take care of long term clients rather than spot buyers. This was demonstrated during times of great shortages in 2021. We try to ensure that long term clients are taken better care of, rather than profiteering. This is one of the reasons why many buyers come back to Imco Timber year after year, having had poor experiences with previous suppliers. In turn we take better care of longer term clients making it a two way relationship.
We operate as agents as well as traders, depending on the product and market.

Honesty
We guarantee to be honest and open in our dealings with clients. We know occasionally due to uncontrollable circumstances that something may go wrong. The client will always be informed the moment we find out. Lead times given are always honest, even if not in our favour we prefer to not disappoint the client.

We have many years of experience in the softwood timber industry. Often we are able to make recommendations or suggestions to help the client save money or improve.

You can trust in us – your privacy is our top priority. We do not share confidential information about suppliers or clients with anyone. Whilst this may seem obvious, we know how small the timber trade can be.
